I completed the Knight Foundation’s Data Journalism and Visualization With Free Tools course. The final project was to secure a large amount of data, organize it into a spreadsheet and create a visualization. I chose popular baby names in Kansas and Missouri for the past century. This involved organizing tens of thousands of lines of data and creating a visual and easy to digest interactive graphic. The visualizations were created in Tableau and Flourish.
