For three years I served as the executive producer and senior executive producer of KCTV5, the CBS affiliate in Kansas City. KCTV made the decision to relaunch its investigative unit in the spring of 2015. I built the unit from the ground up, making outside hires and inside promotions, while also encouraging general assignment reporters to produce investigative content as well. I not only managed the unit and the on-air and digital content we produced but managed the station’s special content calendar, making sure we were strategic with the content placement and promotion.
